Ros Omelette in Microwave

For the Chicken Pieces Marination:

  • 500 grams chicken pieces
  • 3 tbsp xacuti masala paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 lemon juice


For the Green Masala Paste:

  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  • 2 green chilies, roughly chopped
  • 8 garlic cloves, roughly chopped


Other Ingredients for the Ros:

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • Coriander, chopped


For the Omelette:


  • 4 eggs
  • 2 large onion, finely chopped
  • Salt as required
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • Oil as needed to make the omelette



To Serve:

  • 5 goan pao
  • Onion (finely chopped)
  • Lemon Slices (as required)





  1. Wash the chicken pieces. Apply salt and lime to it. Make a paste of ingredients mentioned under ‘For the Green Masala Paste’. Apply the paste to the chicken pieces. Mix well and leave aside for 30 mins
  2. In a microwave safe glass bowl add the oil, onion and cook for 2mins at 100 % micro power level
  3. Add the marinated chicken pieces & ground masala paste. Cook for about 8 minutes at 100% micro power level
  4. Add water just sufficient enough to cover the chicken pieces, cook for about 8 minutes at 100% micro power level
  5. Add the chopped coriander leaves. Ros is ready to be served!


Prepare the Omelette:


  1. Add in the eggs, salt, chilies, onions in a clean mixing bowl. Beat well to make batter fluffy. Transfer the mixture on a greased round baking tray and cook for 12 min at 170⁰C on convection mode


Assemle Ros, Omelette & Pao:


  1. Serve the ros on top of omelette. Serve with onion, lime and pao
