Ingredients:


For The Dumpling Dough:

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • ½ tsp oil
  • ¼ tsp salt or as required
  • 2-3 tbsp water for kneading or as required

 

For Vegetable Stuffing:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 small-sized spring onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 small-sized garlic, finely chopped
  • 5 cups mix vegetables, finely chopped
  • ½ cup white button mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder 
  • Salt as required

 

Preparation:


Making Dough:

  1. Take rice flour, salt, oil in a bowl and mix them well with a spoon
  2. Add hot water in parts and knead to a firm dough. Cover the dough and keep aside for 10 mins

 

Making Vegetable Stuffing:

  1. Mix all ingredients in microwave safe glass bowl, and cook for 8 mins stirring after every 2 mins

 

Shaping Momos:

  1. Divide the dough in two parts. Make a 7 to 8 inches log from each part. Cut the log into equal slices
  2. Make ball of each slice and keep them covered with a moist napkin.
    Take each dough ball and on a lightly dusted board, roll each dough ball into a thin circle of about 3 to 4 inches in diameter
  3. Try to get the edges to be thin and the center to be thick
  4. Place 2 tsp of vegetable stuffing in the center
  5. Lift one side of the edge and start pleating
  6. Start folding and forming the pleats one by one. Towards the end, join the pleats in the center.

 

Steaming Veg Momos:

  1. Heat water in the microwave safe glass bowl for 6 min at 100% micro power level. Place greased steamer in the bowl , ensure the steamer base does not touch the water level. Place the momos and cover with lid
  2. Cook momos for 8 mins at 100% micro power level. Serve Hot with Schezwan Chutney
