Ingredients:
- 1½ cups gram flour
- 1 tbsp rava – optional
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1½ tsp ginger paste
- 1½-2 tsps chopped green chillies
- 1½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1½ tsp hing
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1½ tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup water
For Tempering:
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 1tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp chopped green chilies
- 2 tsp sugar
For Garnish:
- 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 3 tbsp grated fresh coconut
Preparation:
- In a mix bowl combine all ingredients for khaman dhokla in a bowl except baking powder.
In the mean time grease the cake tin (8 inches) and place aside. Add baking soda to the khaman
mixture and instantly transfer to greased cake tin - Cook the batter at 100% micro power level, for 6 to 8 mins. Use a tooth pick to check, insert in cooked dhokla and check it comes out neatly
- For tempering add all ingredients (except sugar and water) in a microwave safe glass bowl heat for 3 mins at 100% micro power level. Add 150 ml of water and 01 tsp of powder sugar in the tempering
- Drizzle the tempering liquid on top of khaman dhokla, garnish with grated fresh coconut and chopped coriander leaves. Serve Instantly.
