Mango Bhapa Doi

  • 500 gms Curd
  • 180 gms Condensed milk
  • 120 gms Mango puree/Pulp
  • 250 gms Fresh cream
  • ½ tsp Cardamom powder


  1. Hang the curd in a muslin cloth, tie it and place it in a sieve. Refrigerate the hung curd to avoid souring.
  2. Allow it to rest at least 2-3 hours until a solid mass of milk is derived. Approx 25 gms in weight.
  3. Preheat the oven at 180°
  4. In a glass bowl combine the hung curd, condensed milk, mango puree, fresh cream, cardamom powder and whisk it well.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a round earthen bowl, flatten with a spoon and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Place a deep tray in the oven and add hot water sufficient to fill the tray.
  7. Place the bhapa doi earthen in the center of the tray and bake for 35 mins (refill the water in case required).
  8. Once done and set well, allow the mango bhapa doi to cool.
  9. Top it with mango puree/pulp and some chopped mango cubes. Serve chilled.
