Lehsuni Khameeri Roti

For Khameeri Roti:

  • 125 gms All-purpose flour
  • 5 gms Yeast
  • 5 gms Salt
  • 5 gms Sugar
  • 5 gms Butter
  • 80 ml Lukewarm water


  • 30 gms Garlic cloves (Chopped)
  • 100 gms Grated Mozzarella
  • 30 gms Chopped Coriander
  • 100 gms Butter
  • Water wash


  1. Preheat the oven at 220°C with the baking tray.
  2. In a clean bowl mix all ingredients for khameeri roti and knead well.
  3. Leave the dough for resting covered with damp cloth and let it rise for 35 mins. Post resting, knead the dough again.
  4. Pluck out 6 portions from the dough; roll out with mild dusting into an elongated oval shape roti. Keep these rotis thick. Prick the rotis using a fork to avoid puffing up while baking.
  5. Now brush water on each roti and drizzle chopped garlic and mozzarella.
  6. Remove hot tray from the oven carefully, place rotis on the tray, place the tray on 1st rack position and bake for 2 mins at 220°C.
  7. Remove the rotis as soon as the garlic & mozzarella browns, let them cool.
  8. Warm in the same oven for 3 mins, serve soft khameeri roti with hot stews or enjoys with any kebabs.
