Bhelpuri in Microwave

Program:  Solo mode/ Micro power level 

Cook time: 30 mins





  • 1 large potato 
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • water 
  • 3 cups puffed rice 
  • 1 tbsp masala chana 
  • 2 tbsp roasted peanuts (readymade)
  • ½ cup boiled moong beans or boiled moong bean sprouts 
  • ½ to 1 tsp lemon juice or add as required
  • ¼ cup sev
  • ½ chaat masala
  • ½ tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 5 to 6  puri broken in pieces – optional
  • Black salt as required
  • Tamarind chutney  (ready-made)
  • Spicy red chutney (ready -made)
  • Green chutney (ready-made)


For Garnish:


  • 2 to 3 tbsp sev
  • 1-2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves (cilantro)
  • 2-3 papdi or puri



  1. In a micro safe bowl cook the potatoes at 100% micro power level for 6min. Take the puffed rice in a bowl and roast the puffed rice at 80% micro power level for 6mins and stir after every 2min
  2. Set aside and cool at room temperature
  3. In another bowl mix the cooked potatoes with chopped onion, tomato, some boiled moong. Add the tamarind chutney, green chutney, spicy chutney, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder,  some black salt as per taste. Drizzle some lemon juice and mix well till all the flavors are combined
  4. Add the crushed puris, roasted peanuts, masala chat and continue mixing. Add the puffed rice and sev, give swirl to the whole mixture and your bhel puri is ready. Garnish with  sev, coriander leaves and serve
