Troubleshooting Guide

SYMPTOMPROBLEM CAUSESOLUTION
LED Display does not glowPower supply is not turned ON.Ensure that the supply mains switch is ON.
Electrical power cord may not be plugged in or connection may be loose.Make sure that the plug is plugged in and check for loose connection in plug/socket.
Program not selected.Ensure that the program is selected.
Washing machine door does not open.Machine is in operation.Check if the program is active. If yes, pause the program check door symbol indication. For safety reasons, the washing machine door cannot be opened when water level, temperature or speed is too high.
Door open not possible.Check if ‘dl Er’ message is displayed on the display.
Child Lock is activeDisable the Child Lock and wait for 1—2 mins till Door symbol glows on the display.
Program does not start.Start/Pause button not pressed.Ensure that the Start/Pause button is touched. Start/Pause LED will glow when touched.
Water supply tap not turned ON/no water supply/low water pressure.Open tap fully and ensure that there is water supply with normal water pressure.
Door not closed properly.Open and close the door firmly.
Program either in Pause/Soak or Rinse Hold mode.Check the status on the display and refer to the User Manual.
Water does not enter into machine.
Detergent not being flushed into the drum.
Water supply tap not turned ON/no water supply/low water pressure.Open the tap fully and ensure that there is water supply with normal water pressure.
Door not closed properly.Open and close the door firmly.
Bent inlet hose, sieve or inlet valve/inlet hose clogged.Check if the inlet hose is bent or sieve is blocked
Suds escaping from detergent dispenser tray.
Excessive foam in drum.
Residues of detergent on clothes.
Detergent used is not a front load detergent.Use detergent recommended for front load washing machines only.
Excessive detergent used.Reduce the detergent dosage.

Inlet hose connection looseCheck and tighten the inlet hose connection.

Overloading of clothes.Load clothes as per the fabric type and capacity recommended for chosen program.
Spin Speed is set to O RPM or lower Spin Speed is selected.Select higher Spin Speed.
Rinse Hold option selected.At Rinse Hold stage touch Start/Pause button.
Filter clogged.Check and clean filter.
Excessive/high foaming detergentUse detergent recommended for Front Loader washing machines only.
Machine vibrates more during spinningMachine not levelled properlyCheck and level the machine.
Filter clogged partially.Check and clean the filter.
Unbalanced load.Add l or 2 similar items to help balance the load. Rearrange load to allow proper spinning.
Motor Noise It is normal for noises to be heard while motor is running
Pump Noise It is normal for noises to be heard from the pump during the start up and final stage of draining. However check for filter clogging.
Program Cycle Time  Delayed. It is normal as the washing machine time may vary depending upon the type and quantity of laundry, inlet water pressure, inlet water temperature, variations in power supply and other usage conditions.
Balance time on display remains unchanged If there is an unbalanced load then the machine may make several attempts to redistribute the clothes in order to minimise the vibrations resulting in extended program duration.
poor soil removalIncorrect detergent dosage.Use correct amount of detergent for load size and water hardness.
Use of cold wash program.Use hot wash program.
Load size not as per capacity.Use correct load size.
Stains on clothes.Pre-treat stain and any soil according to directions given under 'Easy tips to remove stains'.
Mix of heavily soiled items with lightly soiled items.Separate heavily soiled items from lightly soiled ones.
Blue stains on clothesExcessive fabric additives. Cheaper quality additives.Do not overfill fabric softener and do not pour liquid fabric softener directly onto fabric.
Black or grey marks on clothesLess quantity detergent/hard water.Use correct amount of detergent for load size, amount of soil and water hardness.
Some clothes with existing stains.Do not mix good clothes with stained clothes.
Yellow or brown rust stainsDirty incoming water.Before washing run water for a few minutes to clean lines or start the program only when the water is clean.
 To restore a discoloured load of whites use rust remover safe for fabric
Residue of detergentOverloading of clothes.Do not overload the washer.
Excessive use of detergent.Use proper amount of detergent.
Cold wash programUse hot wash program.
Buttons are not working Button not pressed/touched properly.All the buttons are sensitive and need to be gently tapped/touched with the finger.
Error LED flashes 1 time, repeats after 3 secs.Door not closed properly or not locked.Open and then close the door firmly.
Door not getting unlocked (at the end of program)Cancel the program and switch OFF the appliance, wait for 2 min and check if the door can open. Do not try to open the door forcibly. If the door cannot open or if the same error indication persists, cancel the program and switch OFF the appliance. Contact IFB Care.
Error LED flashes 2 times, repeats after 3 secs.Water tap turned OFFTurn ON the tap
Water supply not available or LOW water pressure.The washing machine will start automatically on resumption of water supply or press the Start/Pause button twice to start refilling
Sieve/filter blocked in water inlet hoseClean the sieve filter (Refer to the section cleaning the water hose mesh filter).
Bent/damaged water inlet hose.Remove bend/damage.
Error LED flashes 3 times, repeats after 3 secs.Water not drained.Press Start/Pause button to restart the drain.
Filter is blocked.Switch OFF the appliance. Drain the water using a drain pump and then clean the filter.
Exhaust hose clogged or bent.Clean the exhaust hose/remove bend.
Error LED flashes 4 times, repeats after 3 secs.Laundry load is unbalanced.If the laundry load is small (eg a pair of jeans, 2–3 Turkish towels, bathrobe etc) it can lead to an unbalanced condition. Add 1-2 similar items to help balance the load, rearranging it to allow proper spinning.
Error LED flashes 5 times, repeats after 3 secs.Input voltage is high.Machine will start automatically after the voltage decreases to safe operating level. If this error display persists or occurs frequently, contact your electrician to locate the fault in the electric system.
Error LED flashes 7 times, repeats after 3 secs. Water temperature is above 60˚C at the start of programStart new/Drain program once the water cools down to approx 60˚C or cancel the program, switch OFF the appliance, wait for 2 secs and restart. If the same error persists, cancel the program, switch OFF the appliance and contact IFB Care.
Error LED flashes 8 times, repeats after 3 secs. Cancel the program, switch OFF the appliance, wait for 2 secs and restart. If the error persists, turn OFF the tap, cancel the program, switch OFF the appliance and contact IFB Care
