Delhi Aloo Tikki is a quintessential North Indian street food, revered for its combination of crispy exterior and spiced potato filling. It needs a few modest ingredients—boiled potatoes, spices like cumin, red chilli flakes, salt, and pepper. Once the tikkis are ready and rolled in breadcrumbs, they are ready for a shallow fry until golden brown. When the crunch of the bite gives way to the juicy insides, you’ll be swiftly transported to the bustling streets of our country’s capital.

Ingredients

  • 2 Potatoes
  • 2 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 30 gms Breadcrumbs
  • Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • Coriander Leaves, chopped

Method

  • Boil both potatoes on solo mode for 6-8 minutes on 100% micro power. Mash one potato and chop one into small cubes. Mix the potatoes with salt, chilli flakes, pepper powder, cumin, chopped coriander, and bread crumbs.
  • Form the mixture into tikkis. Heat the magic tawa on H1 mode, place the tikkis on the tawa, drizzle a little oil, and cook for 12-15 minutes.
