Ingredients

  • 250 gms Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 200 ml Pizza Sauce
  • 200 gms Mozzarella Cheese (shredded or sliced)
  • 200 gms Tomato Slices
  • Fresh Basil Leaves

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180*C on convection mode.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. If using store-bought dough, follow the instructions on the package. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, covering the entire pizza surface. Arrange tomato slices on top of the cheese.
  • Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 18 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  • Garnish the pizza with fresh basil leaves, tearing them into smaller pieces if desired. Slice the pizza and serve it hot.

Potato Leek Soup

A classic comfort dish that combines leeks’ mild, onion-like flavour with potatoes’ hearty, earthy taste. Potato Leek soup has a creamy texture and soothing warmth, making it a perfect choice for chilly days. In olive oil, saute chopped leeks to release their sweet notes and diced potatoes for their starchy yumminess and add broth to finish. The smooth and velvety consistency is heartwarming, like a warm embrace in a bowl, capturing the essence of homely comfort and simplicity.

Garlic Parmesan Baked Chicken

Let’s bow down to whoever whipped up the Garlic Parmesan Baked Chicken – a dish that marries the boldness of garlic, the richness of parmesan, and the crispiness of golden perfection. Whether it’s a family gathering or a restaurant outing, this dish whispers tales of deliciousness that transcends the ordinary. One can’t really go wrong when nutty parmesan offsets the zing of garlic cloves. And once that is smeared all over the succulent chicken and baked to a golden crunch, the word that plays on my tongue is drool. So, I leave you to enjoy this explosion of flavours while I scout me some culinary goodness post-haste.

Dal Vada Burger

Culinary fusion is a magical place to experiment and play. The Dal Vada Burger is a delightful marriage of traditional Indian flavours and the iconic burger. You swap the potato tikki with a crunchy chana dal tikki, lettuce gets replaced by iron-rich spinach, and mayonnaise gives way to good old dahi. You’ll feel guilt-free when you feed this finger-licking snack to all you know. Each bite will surprise you as the freshness of spinach meets the wholesome spiced dal tikki before meshing with a yoghurt spread. And, for your Anglacised guests, you can serve it up as ‘Lentil Fritters in a Bun’ for a good laugh. However, they’ll likely never want a regular burger again!
