Umami Flavour

Unlock the umami flavour in coriander using your microwave and elevate the flavour of your dishes. A handful of fresh coriander and water are all you need. The gentle heat of the microwave breaks down the coriander’s cell walls, releasing its unique earthy and lemony flavours, which the water will absorb. And just as easily you have the umami flavour of Indian cooking.
Method
- Chop finely and add water. Heat in the microwave oven at 100% micropower level for 5 minutes.
- The water will absorb all the flavours. This can be frozen and stored in ice cube trays.
- Use it while cooking dal, soups, pulao, curries and so on.
