Sheer Khurma

Yes it’s possible … in an IFB Microwave Oven!

Serves: 2 nos

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 15 cashew nuts (broken)
  • 12 almonds (chopped)
  • 12 pistachios (chopped)
  • 15 sultanas
  • 7 large dates (chopped)
  • 1 cup broken vermicelli
  • ½ cup grated mawa
  • 500 ml whole milk
  • 4 tbsp powder jaggery
  • 1½ tsp rose water
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder

Preparation:

1.In a microwave-safe glass bowl, heat the ghee for 1 min. Once hot, add the chopped nuts, raisins and dates to the pan and heat for 30 sec. Remove the nuts and keep them aside.

2.Add the vermicelli to the bowl, stir and heat for 1 min. Stir after 30 sec. Next, add the milk, stir well and heat for 2 min.

3. Add the grated mawa and heat for another 1 min. Now add the powdered jaggery, fried nuts and stir well.

4.Finish with rose water and cardamom powder and mix. Cook for 3 min. Serve hot or chilled garnished with pistachio flakes and rose petals.
